History of the Roman Kingdom.

The History of the Roman Kingdom is based on a constitution formed in 753BC. It requires that two consuls (head of states) rule equally, each for a yearly period. In addition to this, they had 2 senates, a head senate composed mostly of the higher society in Rome, and the popular senate, composed mostly of chosen electors by people the people. Basically, the theory behind this was that one consul could be off leading a war, while the other consul would still be in Rome ruling and keeping order. This is a clever strategy as it allowed order to be in Rome while a war was in progress.

However, the equal rule is what is important about the ruling of a kingdom. as it allowed the consul to not take advantage of the rank they were elected for.
